Besides industrial salt and edible salt, we are soon launching a series of personal care products incorporating our salt and its by-products such as salt mud. Qinghai salt mud and salt possess similarities with Dead Sea mud and salt. The trace elements found in Qinghai salt mud include magnesium, calcium, potassium, zinc, selenium, etc. , which are beneficial to skin development and maintenance through osmosis, by stimulating cell renewal and help re-balancing the skin. In addition, we are also dedicated to extracting the high value metal from the salt brine. According to our composition analysis report on QS salt brine, two high value ions ¡V Lithium and Potassium are contained in the brine. Recovery of potash and lithium salt is another mission of the Group. Salt Mud Salt mud found in the salt lakes contains valuable minerals such as potassium, magnesium, sodium, boron, bromide, calcium, selenium, etc. It can be used for cosmetic purpose and particularly effective in detoxifying, whitening, reducing melasma and diminishing wrinkles of the skin. Qinghai salt mud can be used to manufacture facial masks that contain high level of magnesium, more than 30 times than that found in sea water. They help to revitalize cells, promote metabolism effectively, as well as restore the balance of the skin and thus promoting radiating facial skin. The natural mineral in our salt mud, Selenium (Se), can neutralize free radicals which cause skin ageing and also act as catalyst to speed up and intensify the action of primary antioxidants. Together with other natural ingredients such as crocus, ginseng and other herbs, vitamins A, C and E which all have anti-oxidant effects, facial products made from Qinghai salt promote ultimate anti-ageing effect. Lake Brine Lake brine contains usable minerals. The elements found in brine are mainly sodium, potassium and magnesium. Other elements, such as lithium, is also present but in lesser quantity. Sodium chloride, potassium chloride and lithium salt can be produced from the brine by solar evaporation. Recovery of salts by solar evaporation is favored in hot dry climates. Qinghai Plateau has low rainfall and humidity, high temperature and sunshine rate, meaning a high evaporation rate which helps to facilitate the process.
The brine in Lake Chaka and Lake Keke is about 20 million tons and 34
million tons respectively. Our supply of salt brine and valuable metals
are inexhaustible.
